Farm-Based Bed & Breakfast on the Main Street of Hancock, New Hampshire. 

Come slow down and taste rural village life on this mini-farm in the heart of the quintessential New England town of Hancock, New Hampshire.

This B&B is suitable for vacations of all types, and we particularly welcome writers or activists needing a peaceful retreat to rest and restore and connect with one’s inner life and inspiration.  One can choose to unplug completely, or connect to excellent wifi, and there is a desk for working.

The 1-bedroom apartment is on the first floor of a historic house and has a kitchenette and ¾ bath.  It shares an entrance with the main house.  There is also a pull out couch in the main space.

If you need additional rooms, 2 bedrooms (1 with a double bed; one with a single, or 2 singles if for children) and a full bath on the first floor of the main house (shared with other occupants) can be added.

The B&B is on the Main Street with Fiddlehead’s Café, the Hancock General Store, the Hancock Inn, the library, and the town green.  It is a stone’s throw to a lake (Norway Pond).  It is close to many hiking trails and Crotched Mountain and Pat’s Peak for skiing.  A wide range of cultural events takes place here and in nearby towns.

It is also the home to several goats, often including a few kids.  Goat cheese is made and sold on-site.  There is an outdoor sitting and eating garden.

You are welcome to schedule a hike with a couple of goats, a tour of the mini-farm/cheesemaking facility, or walking meditation with Sarah (a long-time student of Buddhist monk, Thich Nhat Hanh.). There is also ping pong and a cabinet full of games.
